feel a little bored right now, so i decided to do a drama ranking from best to worst!

01) I'm Sorry I Love You & Taiyou no Uta

I'm Sorry I Love You

Cha Moo Hyuk (So Ji Sup) was adopted by an Australian family, but was abused and left home at an early age. Growing up on the streets, he meets all sorts of people until one day he comes upon Song Eun Chae (Im Su Jung). Eun Chae is the coordinator for Choi Yune, a famous singer in Korea whom she secretly loves. Her fateful encounter with Moo Hyuk ends up affecting not only her life but that of her precious Yune's as well.

Moo Hyuk's path takes him to Korea, on a road that leads to revenge. He's filled with anger and hurt about his birth mother, but also feels love and happiness with someone he didn't expect to love. Although he wreaks havoc on the lives of those around him, he wishes with all his heart someone would stop him.

note: this was my first drama i watched and it's still the best one, together with taiyou no uta. gosh, i still remember how i cried my eyes out TT.TT


Taiyou no Uta

While working at a seaside inn with his high school buddies, Kouji Fujishiro (Yamada Takayuki) meets Kaoru Amane (Sawajiri Erika), a street musician. Kaoru is suffering from an incurable disease called XP (xeroderma pigmentosum), and can’t be exposed to the sun. Under the sun, the two would never have met. Still, destiny brings the two together. Since the day he suddenly lost his job, Kouji has lost sight of his dreams. But when he meets Kaoru, who is making positive efforts to become a singer, Kouji regains his long-forgotten passion for music.

note: this review describes very little of what the drama is about. i only finished it last night. it was amazing!!!! this might be a spoiler, but i was impressed at how they let it end and how kaoru decides to live for her dream, even though she knows this means dying earlier than expected and leaving all her beloved ones behind. i felt sorry for especially kouji when she informed him about following her dreams, which meant a decision against their love. of course it is only natural the family and her friends (except for kouji he encouraged her to lead a life without regrets!) protested against not undergoing the surgery. and it was so cruel to see that 1 minute before she was able to fulfill her dream she passed away. the good thing about the drama was, kaoru was a narrator in it as well and she said: she didn't feel regretful, leaving the earth earlier, leaving her love behind and not fulfilling her dreams, because actually she lived for that dreams and were able to experience parts of it.
her dying scene was superb. not cliché at all. no omg dear i love you. i love you, too. she just said thank you to kouji and there weren't any scene with the family and friends surrounding her, crying.
and i was especially touched when kaouru once asked him, what he'd do, once she's a goner and he said: i'd cry for a while, and then i'd cry even more.
but in the end he said: why should i cry? i'm fortunate to have met you!
and finally i know the true meaning of moon child!
gosh, i think i'm gonna order the dvd-box from ebay!
i'm going crazy over takayuki's hair. i want a bf with such hair!
